I am the “The Monster”. The nickname “The Monster” was given to me by my friend BT’s dad, Chuckster, who is also my mentor for all things fly fishing.
Transplanted from North Carolina I now live in the Willamette Valley in beautiful Oregon. Fly fishing for me, began around September of 2009, but fishing has always been a huge part of my life. From the time I was able to hold a fishing rod in my little 3 year old hands until now 31 years later, I have coveted the tug at the other end of my line. Throughout my journeys in life, I have fished many different places and caught many species of fish. From Bluefin Tuna to Spot in saltwater and Largemouth Bass to Brook Trout I’ve fished for them. My love for fishing was passed down from several generations, from my great-grandfather, (who I enjoyed several fishing trips with) to my grandfathers (on both sides and enjoyed many trips with both), to my dad (I wasn’t old enough before he passed to ever have the pleasure of fishing with one of the best trout fishermen that ever lived, or so I’m told). Fishing is in my blood, and I hope that I can share some of my passion for this sport with you.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy your stay
